BUTplugged #54: The Way of the Dragon (1972, 16mm)

Each month, the BUT Film Festival and Chassé Cinema present a special screening of a 35mm or 16mm film. During the evening, the audience votes — from a shortlist of three titles — for the film to be screened the following month. The film will be announced shortly.
Tang Lung is a somewhat naïve young man who swaps the simple country life for the bustling, at times dangerous city life of Rome. He helps Chinese friends whose restaurant is being terrorised by the local underworld. Initially amused by the newcomer’s naïvety, the gangsters soon discover, to their humiliation, that he is not as inexperienced as they had assumed.
