Juste une illusion (EN subs) - Internationals Cinema Breda
The film follows Vincent, an almost thirteen-year-old boy trying to navigate a world that seems to be changing faster than he can keep up with. As his father secretly struggles with unemployment and his mother dreams of a different future, tensions at home continue to rise. Amid the uncertainty, Vincent experiences his first great love and takes his first steps towards adulthood.
With a heartfelt celebration of the music, fashion and culture of the 1980s, directors Éric Toledano and Olivier Nakache deliver a touching and relatable story about family, identity and resilience. Blending humour and emotion with their characteristic eye for social themes, Juste une illusion is both nostalgic and timeless.
