Daarnaast beleef je deze middag vier wereldpremières. Drie daarvan zijn van de veelbelovende jonge choreografen Zoë Greten, Luca Abdel-Nour en Rutkay Özpinar. Alle drie werken vanuit hun eigen culturele achtergrond en weten perfect in te spelen op de belevingswereld van de jonge Junior Company-dansers. Zij baseren zich op uiteenlopende dansstijlen, waaronder hedendaagse dans, hiphop en Turkse dans.
Tegelijkertijd blijven de dansers hun klassieke techniek ontwikkelen. Dat doen ze in een nieuw werk van Ernst Meisner en in het tweede deel van Concerto van Sir Kenneth MacMillan: een serene en technisch veeleisende pas de deux.

Ook humor krijgt een plek in het programma. Van Eric Gauthier is hier voor het eerst Ballet 102 te zien, het vervolg op zijn hilarische Ballet 101: een crash course into ballet.
De avond sluit af met In the Future van Hans van Manen, waarin de grootmeester tovert met kleuren, lichamen, humor en vernuft.

Ballet Vibes brings together the ingenious work of Hans van Manen, the witty Ballet 102 by Eric Gauthier, and a technically demanding piece by the British master choreographer Sir Kenneth MacMillan.

The afternoon also features four world premieres. Three of these are by the highly promising young choreographers Zoë Greten, Luca Abdel-Nour, and Rutkay Özpinar. All three draw on their own cultural backgrounds and connect instinctively with the world of the young Junior Company dancers. Their work is rooted in a range of dance styles, including contemporary dance, hip-hop, and Turkish dance.
At the same time, the dancers continue to develop their classical technique — both in a new work by Ernst Meisner and in the second movement of Concerto by Sir Kenneth MacMillan: a serene and technically demanding pas de deux.

Humour, too, has its place in the programme. Eric Gauthier's Ballet 102 receives its first showing here, the follow-up to his hilarious Ballet 101: a crash course into ballet.
The evening closes with In the Future by Hans van Manen, in which the grand master works his magic with colour, bodies, humour, and wit.
