Deze zomer transformeert Sunset Cinema elf bijzondere locaties tot sfeervolle openluchtbioscopen. Bij Pier15 vertonen we de Franse klassieker La Haine (1995), die twintig intense uren volgt uit het leven van drie multiculturele vrienden in een achterstandswijk aan de rand van Parijs.

24 uur in het leven van drie jongeren in de Franse buitenwijken, daags na gewelddadige rellen. Terwijl hun vriend Abdel zwaargewond in het ziekenhuis ligt na mishandeling door de politie, lopen de spanningen steeds verder op.

Wanneer Vinz een verloren politiewapen vindt, dreigt woede om te slaan in wraak. Samen met Saïd en Hubert dwaalt hij door een wereld vol frustratie, ongelijkheid en uitzichtloosheid. Terwijl de situatie elk moment kan ontploffen.

Van het voetbalstadion tot een prachtig landgoed: elke plek krijgt een magisch filmisch tintje zodra de zon ondergaat. 24 hours in the lives of three young men in the French suburbs, the day after violent riots. While their friend Abdel lies seriously injured in the hospital after being beaten by the police, tensions continue to escalate.

When Vinz finds a lost police gun, anger threatens to turn into revenge. Together with Saïd and Hubert, he wanders through a world full of frustration, inequality, and hopelessness. All the while, the situation could explode at any moment.
