In het muzikale en humoristische Moonlight Motel speelt Steyn de Leeuwe tientallen personages door elkaar. Twee jaar lang werkte hij in de daklozenopvang. Die ervaring verwerkt hij in een hallucinerende theatertrip over het leven op straat. Op het eind vraagt hij zich af: waar is mijn thuis eigenlijk?

Na het succes van Tofu Cowboy komt Steyn de Leeuwe nu met Moonlight Motel. Een Odyssee, vertelt door een antiheld. Over succes en falen, geluk en ongeluk, recht en onrecht, fictie en realiteit. Blijkbaar is slapen op straat een niet zo ver-van-je-bed-show? En is iedereen niet altijd op zoek naar een thuis? En zal hij het ooit nog vinden? Steyn de Leeuwe brengt met deze voorstelling, een virtuoze theatrale tour de force, de straat op de planken.
