60 degrees of separation
60 degrees of separation is een uitnodiging om je mee te laten voeren in het plezier van collectiviteit. Geleid door het stuwende geluid van een drummer nemen twee circusperformers je mee in een onderzoek naar de intimiteit van circustechnische bewegingen.
Hangend aan één arm in de lucht houden de acrobaten afwisselend elkaars vrije hand vast en zoeken ze naar die van jou. Dankzij het publiek worden hun indrukwekkende trucs mogelijk.
De titel verwijst naar de theorie dat je maximaal zes handdrukken verwijderd bent van elke andere persoon in de wereld. Zestig graden is dan weer ongeveer de hoek die nodig is om iemand van de grond te tillen terwijl die met één hand in een aerial strap hangt. 60 degrees of separation brengt beide betekenissen samen in een fysieke en collectieve circusvoorstelling.

In 60 Degrees of Separation, you are not a spectator — you become part of the performance. Two acrobats seek a literal hold on each other, and on the audience.
60 Degrees of Separation is an invitation to let yourself be carried along by the joy of collectivity. Guided by the driving sound of a drummer, two circus performers take you on an exploration of the intimacy of circus movement.
Hanging by one arm in the air, the acrobats take turns holding each other's free hand whilst reaching out for yours. Thanks to the audience, their breathtaking tricks are made possible.
The title refers to the theory that you are no more than six handshakes away from any other person in the world. Sixty degrees, meanwhile, is roughly the angle required to lift someone off the ground whilst they hang by one hand from an aerial strap. 60 Degrees of Separation brings both meanings together in a physical, collective circus performance.
