Anima Obscura
De dansers zijn hoofdrolspelers in de zoektocht naar het ene elixer voor het eeuwige leven. Tegen een gigantisch videodecor smelten choreografie, digitale animatie, hologrammen, kostuumontwerp en muziek samen tot een meeslepende ervaring.
Met internationale kunstenaars, waaronder mode-ontwerper Irina Shaposhnikova en videoscenograaf Claudia Rohrmoser, weet Linning in adembenemende beelden een wereld te creëren die niemand onberoerd laat. Het majestueuze Ein Deutsches Requiem van Johannes Brahms wordt afgewisseld met een hedendaagse versie door Yannis Kyriakides. De bekende harpiste Milana Zaric speelt live en is onderdeel van de choreografie.

Anima Obscura is a stunning multimedia performance by artistic director Nanine Linning, exploring the timeless human desire for immortality — from the secretive practices of ancient alchemists to the cutting-edge experiments of today’s biohackers.
The dancers take center stage in a gripping quest for the elusive elixir of eternal life. Set against a monumental video backdrop, choreography merges seamlessly with digital animation, holograms, costume design, and music to create an all-encompassing sensory experience.
Collaborating with international artists — including fashion designer Irina Shaposhnikova and video scenographer Claudia Rohrmoser — Linning crafts breathtaking visuals that leave no one untouched. Johannes Brahms’ majestic Ein Deutsches Requiem is interwoven with a contemporary interpretation by Yannis Kyriakides. Renowned harpist Milana Zaric performs live on stage and is integrated into the choreography.
