In een dubbele lezing onderzoeken Doug Gillen en Lutz Henke hoe kunst in de openbare ruimte ontstaat, wordt ingezet en soms ook fel wordt betwist. Aan de hand van internationale voorbeelden laten zij zien hoe street art zich beweegt tussen activisme en city marketing, en hoe macht, eigenaarschap en verzet daarin een rol spelen. Een scherpe reflectie op de spanningen die dit veld kenmerken.

Film: Triple Bill Street Politics
Dit filmprogramma brengt drie korte films samen die de kwetsbaarheid, kracht en complexiteit van kunst in de openbare ruimte blootleggen. Van Amsterdamse makers die balanceren tussen underground en erkenning, tot een graffiti-battle in Eindhoven die uitgroeit tot een wereldwijd debat, en twee witte vlaggen die New York op scherp zetten. De films tonen de straat als politiek, sociaal en cultureel speelveld — waar beeldtaal niet alleen expressie is, maar ook conflict, dialoog en betekenis.
