The film Michael immerses you in the untold story of Michael Jackson—not as the global superstar the world came to know, but as the man behind the music. It traces his remarkable journey, from the moment his otherworldly talent was discovered as the young frontman of the Jackson Five, to his relentless rise as a visionary artist driven by a single ambition: to become the greatest entertainer in the world.
But Michael goes beyond the stage. The film paints an intimate portrait of his life away from the spotlight, while iconic performances from the early days of his solo career make you feel as if you’re right there in the front row. His story begins here.
The lead role is taken by Michael Jackson’s nephew, Jaafar Jackson, making his feature film debut. He is joined by an impressive cast, including Nia Long (Empire, The Best Man franchise), Laura Harrier (BlacKkKlansman, Spider-Man: Homecoming), and two-time Oscar nominee Colman Domingo (Sing Sing, Rustin). The film is directed by Antoine Fuqua, the acclaimed filmmaker behind Training Day, Olympus Has Fallen, and The Equalizer franchise.

From hidden gems to beloved classics, we're here to watch all, and share what we love or discover about these titles. Every last Wednesday of the month at Chasse Cinema, we curate films with English subtitles, hosted by Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas) with Chasse. "Because the best movies aren't just watched—they're experienced - together."
Afterwards there will be a Q&A, organized by BUas. Please note: this event is open to everyone, including the general public.
