Talk: Street Smarts & Screen Arts

Vladimír Turner (Tsjechië) maakt scherpe, activistische kunst die de impact van menselijk gedrag op stad, landschap en samenleving blootlegt. Met eenvoudige maar doeltreffende acties, geworteld in zijn achtergrond in street art en graffiti, vraagt hij om actief burgerschap en verantwoordelijkheid.

Jasper van Es (NL) is curator en creatief producent binnen urban art en de openbare ruimte. Hij organiseerde tientallen tentoonstellingen, interventies en projecten in Nederland. In zijn recente onderzoek ontwikkelde hij een mega-iPhone om te verkennen hoe urban art zich vertaalt naar de digitale omgeving.

Blind Walls Film Fest

In this double lecture Vladimír Turner and Jasper van Es present two distinct perspectives on art in public space. Turner works through physical interventions and activist actions in the city, while Van Es explores how urban art shifts onto the screen and how digital formats reshape our perception of the urban environment. What connects them is a shared focus on how we, as viewers, look, respond and take responsibility. Both offline and online. 

Vladimír Turner (CZ) creates sharp, activist work that exposes the impact of human behavior on cities, landscapes and society. Through simple yet effective actions, rooted in his background in street art and graffiti, he calls for active citizenship and accountability. 

Jasper van Es (NL) is a curator and creative producer working within urban art and the public realm. He has organized dozens of exhibitions, interventions and projects across the Netherlands. In his recent research, he developed a mega-iPhone to explore how urban art translates into digital environments
