In Fábrica, choreographer Guilherme Miotto transforms the theatre into a workshop of rhythm and movement. Three dancers and two live percussionists construct a universe where every sound and every step can be felt — the act of labor is not hidden, but celebrated.

Percussion lies at the heart of the performance. With an arsenal of instruments — from Tibetan singing bowls to chains, from vibraphones to glass plates, all centered around a bass drum — a dialogue emerges between music and dance. Every touch produces a reaction. Every sound reverberates through the body. Rhythm is not background; it is the lead character.

Miotto explains: “Percussionists come closest to the essence of my work. I've always tried to blur the line between inner and outer realities, and I believe the sonic vibrations of percussion come closest to that experience. Vibrations are created — outside the body they resonate just as strongly as inside. Fábrica celebrates this entanglement.”

Fábrica is both raw and playful. A dancer moves her body by vibrating it against the air. A percussionist makes objects tremble and hits the eardrum with it. Sound and body become intertwined. The boundaries blur, creating a sensory experience that transcends the everyday.
