Blind Walls Film Fest
Op 8, 9 en 10 december 2023 organiseren Chassé Cinema en Blind Walls Gallery opnieuw Blind Walls Film Fest, een filmfestival dat volledig in het teken staat van graffiti, street art en muurschilderingen.
Blind Walls Film Fest maakt maatschappelijke impact van murals zichtbaar en ontkracht heersende vooroordelen. Dit doet het festival door unieke en internationale films te laten zien en Q&A's met regisseurs en makers te faciliteren. Dit jaar zijn er verschillende Europese en Nederlandse premières tijdens het Film Fest. Bekijk het gehele programma hieronder.

Over Blind Walls Film Fest
Tijdens Blind Walls Film Fest ligt de focus op de wereld achter street art en de impact van muurschilderingen en graffiti op een stad. Met de vertoning van verschillende films, Q&A met filmmakers en kunstenaars en talks door experts nemen we jou mee in de wereld achter deze kunstvorm. Waar komt het fenomeen vandaan, wie zijn de makers en wat is de impact op de omgeving?
Deze vragen worden in de vertoonde films belicht vanuit verschillende perspectieven. De brede programmering bevat naast filmvertoningen ook Q&A’s, talks en masterclasses gericht op specifieke doelgroepen zoals makers, projectontwikkelaars en studenten. Een jury bestaande uit Veronique van Zanten, Eef Pannekeet en Jasper van Es beslissen welke films de titel Best Feature Film en Best Short Film mag dragen. Het publiek beslist over de Audience Award. Met deze prijzen winnen de filmmakers respectievelijk 1000 en 2 keer 500 euro, beschikbaar gesteld door het Chassé Cultuurfonds.

On 8, 9 and 10 December, Chassé Cinema and Blind Walls Gallery present the second edition of Blind Walls Film Fest, a film festival about graffiti, street-art and murals.
Blind Walls Film Fest displays the social impact of murals and debunks prevailing prejudices by showing unique and international films and facilitating Q&As with directors and artists. This year there will be several European and Dutch premieres. You can also attend masterclasses about murals and their impact. Check out the program below!
About Blind Walls Film Fest
During Blind Walls Film Fest we focus on the world behind street-art and the impact of murals and graffiti on a city. With the screening of various films, Q&A with filmmakers and artists and talks by experts, we guide you into the world behind this art form. Where does the phenomenon come from, who are its creators and what is the impact on the surroundings? These questions are viewed from different perspectives in the extensive program. In addition to the films, the program also includes Q&As, talks and master classes aimed at specific target groups such as artists, project developers and students. The jury, consisting of Veronique van Zanten, Eef Pannekeet and Jasper van Es, decides which films can bear the title of Best Feature Film and Best Short Film. The audience decides on the Audience Award. With these prizes the filmmakers win 1000 and 2 times 500 euros, sponsored by the Chassé Cultuurfonds.
