The Zone of Interest is the new film by Jonathan Glazer, known for Under the Skin, featuring a phenomenal lead role by Sandra Hüller.
In The Zone of Interest, Auschwitz commander Rudolf Höss (Christian Friedel) and his wife Hedwig (Sandra Hüller) reside with their family next to the concentration camp. There, they attempt to shape their family life and create an ideal world during World War II.
Jonathan Glazer received the Grand Prix at Cannes for the film. This second prize of the festival was awarded by the jury led by Ruben Östlund and presented to him by none other than director Quentin Tarantino.
